Aligarh : The Department of Radio Diagnosis, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized an extension lecture on “Innovation in Neuro Imaging and Future Challenge” as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the J. N. Medical College. Eminent academician and international speaker Prof. N. Khandelwal, PGIMER, Chandigarh, delivered the lecture. Addressing the audience, Prof. Khandelwal highlighted the recent developments in imaging
of the brain. He elaborated on the use of latest imaging techniques like CT and MR perfusion studies, MR spectroscopy, MR tractography, CT and MR angiography and Images guided interventions for the diagnosis and treatment of the dreaded diseases like brain tumours and acute brain stroke. He also shed light on the importance of the use of 64 slice and 320 slice CT scanners.
Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Abida Malik, Principal, J. N. Medical College, Prof. Ashraf Malik, Organizing Chairman, Professor Ekramullah, faculty members and residents from various departments were present on the occasion.
Dr. Mohd. Khalid, Department of Radiodiagnosis introduced the guest speaker while Dr. Shagufta Wahab conducted the programme. Prof Ibne Ahmad proposed the vote of thanks and Senior Residents Dr. Iqbal Naseem, Dr. Deepti Puroshottam, Dr. M. Azfar Siddiqui and Dr. Mehtab Ahmad welcomed the guests by felicitating them with floral bouquets
