Aligarh: After facing a huge rout in recently concluded UP assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be mulling over bringing former UP CM Kalyan Singh back into the party fold.

Both Kalyan Singh led-Jan Kranti Party and BJP had to bite dust in assembly elections. BJP had to satisfy itself with meagre 47 seats whereas, Kalyan Singh’s son and daughter-in-law failed to enter UP assembly.

As per the sources, BJP wants Kalyan Singh to merge his JKP in it. But Singh reportedly has put a rider asking BJP to give 12 Lok Sabha seats in lieu of his return into the party.

BJP’s newly elected UP chief Laxmikant Vajpayee had held parleys with around 150 state leaders in Lucknow in order to bring party back on track ahead of crucial 2014 Lok Sabha elections. During the meeting he asked party office-bearers to strengthen party’s poll prospect in the 2014 general elections.

BJP in a run up to assembly elections had made efforts for Singh’s re-induction which raised eyebrows of Rajnath Singh and Kalraj Mishra.
